Everyone has their own personal philosophy in not only how they live their life, but how they work and play, or interact in life. As such, this is my own philosophy in my own creativity, which is both play and work.
I go for the 'less ordinary' when I design. Most often, I look at how others have done their designs and it helps insire me with ideas on what to do for a current project. I never settle for just something that is 'good'. I strive to bring the best in whatever I do, and as such, I get particular about details.
I act as the designer, the copywriter, the editor, and the director in my work. Working with a client until everyone is happy with the results is the drive to always push the edge. It takes immense patience, even when you feel like ripping your hair out. You are there, after all, to provide your best for your client, so they get what they want and are completely satisfied.
My rule of thumb: if I'm not happy with an idea or design, then most likely, the other will not be happy with it either.
Whether working in web form, print form, or other artistic material, it is still all creative play. You have to love what you do.
