In the beginning, cave man made art and through the millennia, art evolved. Design is art but serves a public life in advertising, marketing and communication. Without pictures to go with the text, you wouldn't retain that catchy slogan, or that person who left your office. Graphic design today fills a wide range of media, from hard print to e-print, from telecommunications to the internet, and so on. Designers today fill in the need for innovative images to place with text and slogans, or to design eye-catching websites that make a web surfer keep coming back.
